Snack Time!
What was definitely different in this trip to the jungles than others we have done before is the number of sights I was able to capture of birds feeding. There is something hyper-active about a bird feeding on its prey. Right from the intensity in making the kill to the satisfied look on the bird's face.
This brahminy kite was a resident of the forest guesthouse campus and obliged us with many pictures, but none as intense as these of it feeding!
Then there was this Hoopoe we spotted at the Moyar dam. "He came, He saw, He Conquered" :) What started as a casual shot of shooting a hoopoe, turned into a full fledged capture of a hunt over the next few minutes! That is the unpredictability of being in the wild that we love.
The Birds that drove me crazy!
To try and click these tiny birds is a challenge a very big one at that, in the noon against the light just holding a camera with a big lens, trying to keep your hand steady while they flicker like a bee, broke a sweat!
And when i saw a few clear shots i was thrilled...untill i get better with my photography skills, i am going to be happy with these:)

I know little about swallows and i have never photographed one earlier. These pictures prompted me to learn so much more about them. Birds are beautiful and each one makes me realise there is so much i know and so much more i need to!

These birds .. the ones i clicked and the ones i couldn't, all made this trip beautiful.
